Dr. Rhonda Clanton-Davis is a native of Petersburg, VA. She is a consummate professional, servant leader, and change-agent with over 18 years of effective involvement in management, education, community, and conflict resolution. Rhonda obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia State University (Interdisciplinary Studies), Master of Public Administration degree from Troy University (Human Resource Management), and Doctor of Education degree from Liberty University (Educational Leadership).
Her military career began after commissioning as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Rhonda has served globally and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and the Global War on Terrorism. After reaching Captaincy, she decided to serve her country in a different capacity as an educator. Her educational roles include paraprofessional, substitute teacher, military instructor and curriculum developer, state certified educator, supervisory training specialist, and special education advocate.
Dr. Clanton-Davis has committed herself to continuous public service at every opportunity. It is her passion to work to build new and stronger partnerships that would act as a bridge between communities and schools, while improving effectiveness of current academic strategies. Additionally, she focuses on education and training curricula by supporting collaborative teams, consistently monitoring instruction, incorporating technology, and making data-driven decisions through multi-tiered systems of support. Her personable leadership style allows her to resolve conflicts and communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and community stakeholders, which is essential to promoting an intentional educational culture. She believes in the importance of building strong relationships to realize the vision and mission of the school, community, and education command.
Dr. Rhonda Clanton-Davis is married to LTC (R) Theodore Davis, and they currently reside in Chester, Virginia with their children. Dr. Clanton-Davis is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. She is also a licensed Virginia Realtor.
